How are y’all enjoying the beginning of SUMMER?! This Summer we intentionally didn’t over crowd our calendar… minimal camps, using our time to practice sports that mean the most to us (the kids) and prioritizing time with friends, neighbors and family and so far it has been amazing! How?! How is Summer just about over? The kids are starting school so early this year and we are not ok with it I am super sad about our lax schedule going away and honestly could take another month of Summer.

So crazy to type that out. I feel like this Summer flew by faster than usual. I’m personally not ready for a more strict schedule but my kids are ready to go back, shockingly! This will be the first year that I have all kids in school full time which is WILD. For that reason alone I’m just not ready for Summer to be over.

I’ve said this for three years now but I mean it this year, I will be DONE Christmas shopping by December 1, mark my words! (again, I’ve said this for three years now…) Doesn’t having all of December to just chill and not be Christmas shopping and stressed over gifts sound amazing? MERRY CHRISTMAS SEASOOOOOON! Yes! It is definitely not too early to say that now, in my very strong opinion! I can not believe Thanksgiving is next week, so crazy! As promised, here is the holiday “baked goodies” post with links to all recipes. I use the word baked extremely loosely y’all, as these are extremely easy treats to assemble, perfect to do with the littles or if you remembered last minute that you were supposed to make something for a party. You may have to melt some chocolate which can certainly be done in a microwave but that’s as difficult as it’s going to get in this here blog post!

HOW IS VIVI ONE THIS WEEK?!

I feel like it was just yesterday that I was in the hospital bouncing on the exercise ball on my Instagram stories! ? Remember? It was false labor but I was bouncing like my life depended on it! Gosh, this year has flown by! If you are new here, I have a Vivienne Kate button on my Instagram highlights and you can watch some of her sweet moments all the way back starting with her first day home, such a sweet time that was!

So y’all know that I am constantly doing educational toy round ups for the older kiddos but this time I am focusing on the 12-36 month old babies! Its been highly requested for a little while now and felt like the perfect thing to share in honor of sweet Vivi’s birthday week All of these items are from Walmart and a lot of these we already own and are loving, some we’ve had since Von was a baby! Hope they give you some good, affordable options for Christmas gifts for the sweet babe in your family. Can’t believe we are already planning for Christmas… ? holy cow.

For my Baby Mamas!

Things to consider passing on:

1. Wipe warmer. Don’t do it. Once you start wiping your sweet babe’s butt with a warm towelette, the cold ones don’t fly. Think about it. ?
2. Changing table/pad. I know this sounds crazy but I just use the ground. They can’t fall off of the ground and the ground is free.
3. A lot of friends have said that a bottle sanitizer/cleaner is a total waste. Just put the bottles in the dishwasher. Money saved.
4. Baby towels. Why not just use a normal human towel?
5. 963 wash cloths. Don’t need.
6. A lot of friends also said that the bottle warmer was a total waste.
7. Bath toys. Throw a plastic cup in the bath and call er’ done. Your sweet babe will have a blast! Also to be considered- those plastic toys with a hole in the bottom of them grow mold inside the toys, dangerous!

I felt like this was a much needed mid-Summer post, am I right?

I have it on my to-do list to download and test out some new educational ipad apps but here are some of the apps we’ve been using for a couple of years now! (I couldn’t link them so I’ve listed the apps and shown a screenshot of the app picture making them easier to find!) Most of these are for kids a little bit older but considering the fact that I have a six year old that doesn’t do the typical age appropriate curriculum, I’m honestly not sure what to “age” these apps at.
